Real stone, made to bend the rules
Archisty began with a simple frustration. Real stone is beautiful, but heavy, rigid and wasteful to work with. So we found a way to split it: we take a genuine block of quarried stone, slice the natural face away at a couple of millimetres, and bond it to a flexible backing.
What you get is real stone you can lift by hand, cut with ordinary tools, and bend around a column. It goes on walls, ceilings, furniture and facades, inside and out. One block now covers far more surface than it used to, which is better for your project and a great deal better for the mountain.
Our mission is to bring the beauty of real stone to more spaces while keeping more of it in the mountains. Real stone is precious, and quarrying takes a heavy toll on the land. By splitting a single block into many thin sheets, we cover far more wall from far less stone. So you get genuine natural stone in your space, and the mountain keeps far more of itself. Beautiful stone, made light, and used with respect.
Material honesty first, and no limits. What you see and touch is always genuine stone, never a printed look. We believe stone should bend to the design, not the other way around, so real stone can go where thick slabs never could, on curves, ceilings, furniture and facades. Real materials, used freely.
Real stone, backed properly. Every Archisty sheet carries a 10-year warranty against manufacturing defects, and a fire-retardant grade is available on request. Archisty stands on two firsts. Our parent company invented thin, flexible stone veneer in 2004, the first in the world to make real stone bend. And Archisty is the first to bring it to Canada, so a stone technology that has clad hotels, malls and museums abroad is now available here at home. We did not follow a trend. Our family started one. The splitting process, the resins and the finishes were all developed in house, so more than thirty years of natural-stone know-how stand behind every sheet. Today Archisty carries that heritage across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia, bringing real stone, made thin, to homes and projects everywhere.
